President's Message:

Hello NJ/EPA TRA Members and Friends,

How fast the Spring has sprung upon us! The summer will be here before we know it. Soon we will be celebrating TR Week, coming up this year on July 11-17, and I cannot think of any better way to celebrate TR week and enjoy the summer weather than by attending a ball game with family and friends.

Such as that may be, the NJ/EPA Fundraising Committee Chairman, Marlene Rivera has been working very hard to provide us with an opportunity to socialize with family and colleagues at the Trenton Thunder Minor League Stadium this July 18 th . We'll have a friendly local rivalry going on, as the Trenton Thunder (NY Yankees affiliated) will be playing the Reading Phils (Philadelphia Phillies affiliated). I know that some of our North Jersey members have a special place in their hearts for the NY Yankees (speaking as someone who grew up in Fairfield County, CT, I can appreciate this) and there is nothing quite like the passion of a true Philadelphia Phillies fan (speaking as someone who has lived in the Philly Metro area for 5+ years)…Regardless of who you will be rooting for, we invite you to come out and support your local Minor league favorites. This fun opportunity to network and enjoy the game will be available to all members and their friends or family for only $10 a ticket. Oh, and get this… not only will you get a great deal on tickets for this event, have the chance to network with old and new friends, and spend some time enjoying family fun, but a portion of the proceeds will be coming back to the association in support of our 2010 Fall Conference Professional and Student Scholarships! Keep an eye on your inboxes for more details on how to purchase your tickets in the weeks to come!
